Vanitas Trilogy, created between 2020 and 2022 by the choreographers and dancers Agustina Sario and Matthieu Perpoint, is a video installation that explores skin contacts with diverse territories, from forest to cement, from natural moss to artificial volcanoes and ruined buildings. The Vanitas trilogy works, like the baroque pictorial genre, on the eros / thanatos axis to which the body / environment axis is incorporated. The three parts, presented in installations sometimes activated by the performers themselves, They turn out to be the story of an intimate approach to the texture of planets, real or invented.
VANITAS 1-QUIÉN TE QUITA LO BAILADO - (2 channels, HD-27 Min)
A female body in a forest (filmed in the Parc Naturel Régional du Pilat- France) as a way of getting in tune with all the layers of life and the link, both erotic and morbid, with the vegetal and organic, rooted research in ecofeminist thought. Co-produced by Prodanza, FNA.
VANITAS 2-LHOOQ - (2 channels, HD-27 Min)
Male body becomes a stage, taking its possibilities as geography to the extreme, resizing the scale and reinserting it into the urban grid (filmed in the City of Buenos Aires). Co-produced by Foco-Gob. de la Ciudad.
VANITAS 3-MARTE- (3 channels, 40 Min, can have a live performance)
Finally, those two bodies reunited, embark on a trip to Mars. The two beings from Vanitas Mars are not the space workers dreamed of by the new colonizers, they are not humans taming another planet, in a manly act of technical skill, but sentient beings who carry with them the memory of their earthly roots.
