1975. My mom is 24, a revolutionary, and goes underground with me, a baby. My dad, also a revolutionary, has just died in a clash. We go on the run until, eventually, she’s kidnapped and “disappears.” She survives because the military officer who captured her chooses her as his lover. For her former comrades, she’s a traitor. For me, she’s a mystery. Today, fifty years and thousands of kilometres later, she tells me her story.
